Lots of Gold wings running around with in excess of 100,000 miles(160000Klms) on the clock ask the owners and some say OH! its just run in, most big Japanese 4s and 6s will easily do this mileage if maintained properly, not as Macho as the Rockets and Harleys but reliable to a fault (you want a new bike before they wear out or **** themselves):laugh:

I just bought a beautifully kept 1999 black/orange valk with 10k miles on it...the cobra six exhaust, beetle bags, corbin seat, for 5k. It's going to be my "visiting my sister" in the states bike-I rode a few thousand miles on it in 9 days last month and had a real blast with it...very comfy controls and general all around sold performer. Nothing like a R3R of course, but for what it was intended I think the Valk is a great bike. An odd, but kinda cool modification to this Valk...the previous owner apparently felt the need to recycle a pair of tail lights from a 1937 ford truck...he built a beautiful rear fender and recessed them in...they look pretty sharp. Will try and post some pics-Doug

I am still working out/finding the gadgets my Kawasaki 1400 GTR has I must read the manual one day ,
I have downloaded the owners manual for the Explorer so i can be prepared to sit my pilots licence to operate all the electronic gadgets like Traction control, ABS and one I do know the Cruise Control, I liked the way someone described the traction control 3 settings as No Fun (Full intervention as soon as you get any wheel spin), Fun (Some wheel spin allowed) and Suicidal (No intervention so spin her up on the dirt as much as you like as long as you know what you are doing)

Took the bevel box out of the Valk to check it out. Thankfully it was slathered with moly 60 and looked like new. I like the way the valk has a seal to keep the moly in the rear spline. Got her pretty well spiffed up.

When I had the seat off noticed it was a Russel Day Long. Bonus !

Dude you need to ride that bike there instead of trailering it. in fact I would head east and ride the the scenic routes down. Its a Honda it will run forever especially how you take care of your rides

If the rock is still in pieces I may ride the valk down. If the rock is back together, it's still coming down in the trailer until it proves to me it's not trying to kill me !
