Carpenter Questions

So, with stand up, gear position is irrelevant. So there are only so many things to check:

Battery - At 12.6 or greater resting volts?
Starter Relay - Could be bad
Headlight Circuit - Common problem on pre-roadster R3s. (No idea if they updated the Touring wiring to match the roadster's, your lights should turn off while cranking if they did).
Clutch Switch - You can try jumping the wire to itself, it's a simple ground loop. This will isolate it as either the problem or not.
ECU - Flash didn't load correctly or an incorrect file was flashed.

Call Bob and explain the problem and steps you've taken, he'll probably want the ECU back to re-flash it.
I am thinking that calling Bob is the most logical next step. Everything was working perfectly before the reflash.

Very frustrating I am sure, seems to be pointing to the ECU/flash as said call Bob or Eric and see what they have to say, all will be well soon and you will be laughing at this little adventure:eek::D
**** I hope so. Its a funny thing I never have gotten anywhere near this upset when my car or truck arent running, even though the scoot is not my main form of transportation.

It is frustrating when things don’t work out :/. Installed a brand new battery that was on the charger overnight this morning before a group ride....click....click.

Had to swap in my on it’s last let battery quickly to go. I can totally relate to the frustration of buying stuff that ends up keeping you off the bike :(

I think your motor intimidates batteries ;)

Well in talking to Bob he decided that the ecu was the problem because for some reason beyond my limited knowledge they needed another 15 Rocket Touring to set up the ecu correctly. Not having one available he had me send the ecu back where they will set it back to Triumph specs and then use a Power Commander to set up the tune for my bike. The only difference according to Bob is that they will not be able to increase the ref limit. Hope this will still be worth the investment. In the meanwhile my Rocket is still a boat anchor for the time being. I have high hopes of receiving the parts this week. At least there is a cold front (only 54 for a high tuesday) moving through so it's not quite so bad.
