Well I suppose this was the next thing to go. I had just replaced the Throttle Position Sensor because of the OTHER known issue (high idle) and went to work. Shortly after arriving at work, I had to ride to another location. I turned on the ignition and nothing. I did all of the usual things like check battery terminals, fuses, etc. I didn't have time to mess with it, so I called for a ride. I stayed busy all day, so I had to ask someone to cover for me so I could figure out what was wrong with my bike before it was too late to call for a tow. I hadn't mentioned before that the nearest dealer is about 2 hours away and that's how far I had to go for the TPS. Anyway, I put the key in, turned it, and everything worked. I left work early and rode it home because I no longer trusted it to get me there. I tried for the rest of the day to recreate the problem, but couldn't. I ended up having to take my car on a trip I had planned the next day because I sure as hell wasn't going to trust it to take me 7 hours from home and leave me stranded. I'm greatful to the r3owners forum for at least letting me know I'm not the only one, but do I really have to come out of pocket another $75 for a known issue? This is why I have steered clear from Harley for so many years and it seems that Triumph is earning the same reputation.
