Interesting stuff.
I've just replaced the ME880 (140 section) on the Front of the Rocket. Thought I would try the Avon Cobra.
First impressions straight off, it felt real sweet, but I'm thinking that this is just the difference between a worn tyre and new.
But I don't recall this same "sweetness" when changing tyres in the past, sure the new tyre felt better, but not like this.
My 2cents worth.

Did the Roadster get heavier? The std Rocket is 704 lbs dry and 800 wet claimed by the factory. I know the R3T is heavier.

R3R is 809 wet. Couple pounds over the standard, no doubt it's the stock boat anchors (exhaust).

Cutting the first 50lbs is easy, after that, not so much!

I am based on the different sources I checked based on the overall weight. A good side. I am losing weight, when I first got the bike I was 374!!!

Next weight reduction is switching from the TORS to extreme blaster - about 50lbs there...

Yup - ask the folk who spec'd tyres that explode under normal use. Who put aestetics over function. Who put ........
