I use anti seize with copper in place of dielectric grease. It has worked wonders for me on lots of equipment. Give it a try somewhere, battery connections are a must.

Jump start her and take it for a good long ride without stopping her...get things hot, let the wind dry things out and when you get home, turn it off and try starting again.

Symptoms are exactly what batteries that are "almost" good do. It's "just" the bad side of bad.

Been through those precise symptoms twice now.
