Front wheel bearing gone

... It's the standard ali with the black inners ... Oh and I've been waiting 9 and half hour since 6:30am so I really can recommend the RAC lol

Had my 955 cayenne get stranded 15 miles from my home, took 3 days to get a tow truck to get her.
It happens
Wow ! Ok that makes me feel a little better not massively as I'm still bloody waiting lol ironically I can almost see my house but it's on the other side of a big river with a 6 mile trip to get to the nearest bridge lol

Yep. I the coolant tank exploded violently and we were supper lucky that there was a driveway we could pull over into. We were in the canyon roads.... 20220612_125036.jpg 20220614_183710.jpg

9.30 they finally rolled up 15 hours from start to finish but there is a few silver linings, could have happened on a main road could have been pissing down all day could have been cold especially this time of year so all in I'm thankful that it was just a inconvenience rather than a disaster basically a wasted day is all.

Approx. how many miles on that bearing when it failed? I have approx. 37,000 miles on my '06 Classic so wondering if I need to add bearings to my 'to do' list.

Yes, and make sure when you install, dont pinch sleeve and make it so it doesn’t spin freely, not loosely but freely, local supply house has bearings or can order whatever you want to install or vxb for bearings online. Ofcourse oem but 4 or 5 times more expensive for what supply house will charge for the 5204, anyway change them, quick easy and cheap

Every time you change the tires you should check the bearings feel good with no tight spots. at that mileage i would replace them. i change all bearings every 20K miles or as needed if sooner. they are VERY cheap and EASY to do if you have a few tools like a bearing puller or drift punch. They wear just like tires and usually fail if the seals are shot.

All Balls Racing 25-1588 $45 bucks shipped on amazon or eBay. that's the rear, i do not have the # for the front but its the same cost. comes with seals you cant get locally at a normal bearing shop (allied bearing comes to mind) I should add that the bearings should seat FULLY into the wheel but the inner shaft spacer should be tight but not unable to be moved by hand, when you torque the axle it will compressed the inner races to the spacer with something like 3,000+ PSI of clamping pressure.
