We went and bought this today, i remodeled my riding gear to look like this, also bought one for the missus,

I was just going over what I think I'll need to pack .... realized I always forget something and always bring something I didn't need. Maybe we should start a list .... I'll throw up a thread "stuff to bring".

Do you think that those of us coming from the west on I-40 should take 64 northeast at conway to 67 to 64, and then into Marion??????
Only adds about 45 mins. according to mapquest. That would put us right at your doorstep, correct? Then back on to I-40???????? Just a thought.

Yes that would be a good alternative route to take and you would also avoid the Little Rock traffic. The only down side is that Hwy 64 from Bald Knob to Marion is mostly 2 lane road but its a good smooth road. Yes that would put you guys real close to me and Marion does have several nice motels and so does West Memphis. I have not heard when I-40 is to reopen but most of the smaller rivers have been going down some except for the Mississippi River which is suppose to crest on Wednesday. i will let you know as soon as I hear anything about reopening I-40.

Well my fellow members I just got back from Maggie Valley, NC. I left out this morning and took a ride up there and back. I rode the Blue Ridge Parkway some but the round trip was 261 miles from my house. I took a lap through the motel parking lot. There was Harleys parked in front of a room with the gents and their gals sitting out front. There was a lot of motorcycles out today. Rode behind a bunch of them for a while.

Maggie Valley has grown since the last time I was there in which I was a kid. My parents took my cousin and I to Ghost Town in the Sky. I never will forget that. lol
