Yeah...and the elk are leaving too. A guy I work with says he has seen 50 or 60 large mature bulls that he suspects have migrated to his place in Montana from there. Wonder if it could have anything to do with the wolves they reintroduced?

I thought that this youtube video was one of the most fascinating I've ever watched. Off topic but amazing.

Hell, the roads in Yellowstone are already melting, all we need now is for the caldera to let loose. It won't be pretty.

The ever-changing geology of Yellowstone National Park has melted an asphalt road, blocking access to several popular geysers and other thermal features at the height of tourist season.

Park officials said Thursday they're evaluating how to address the problem.

Meanwhile, they're telling visitors not to hike into the affected area. They say the danger of stepping through a solid-looking crust of soil into boiling-hot water is just too high.

No - I mean there are NO buffalo in North America!
The animal that most Americans call a buffalo is actually a bison.
Buffaloes are found in Africa and South Asia, while bison roam in North and South America.
Buffalo are not generic in North America.

Definitely the wolves. I have a friend who has a cabin near Cody, WY and the wolves are devastating the herd in Wyoming.
