A couple of hours. Lots of fun stuff to do in Austin BTW

Thanks!
If I do go to Austin (a week long professional seminar at the Hilton Garden Inn) I shall be in touch.

I'm out on that one, too much riding and not enough seeing:(
Me too. One of the best things about the RAA events is that you get to meet so many in person and socialise. I can ride on my own for 8 hrs a day anytime but 2-3 hrs out and then back or a round trip of 6 hrs is plenty with an evening around a fire and perhaps a bbq is the way to go. You guys are the main reason I go.

Very well explained!!!

I just posted it as an option since I was asked to, could stretch it out to 2 weeks to keep it under 200 mile days and 4 hrs of sight seeing each day. As for hanging out each night that would still be the same.

Part of this was to get riders to join a long the way.

@ROCKETHEAD
I can see you have done a lot of work on this.
I plotted out the first four sections and they average nearly 400 miles per day and much of it on busy roadways.
No way I want to/or can keep up this pace, especially not for nine days!
I very much like the rolling venue, BUT I would prefer half the amount of days at an average of 200 to 250 miles per day for group riding.
To me RAA is primarily about the fellowship with other motor riders from all over America.
Riding with them is second and long distances are just not that necessary.
Thanks for all your efforts and this is merely my 2 cents worth.

I could do it, but I could see it being more like work than a vacation, if you know what I mean. I was never very good with structured things, I couldn't even stand to complete high school. For me it's more about the camaraderie, also. But I'm in for whatever it ends up being.

That said, it would be kind of neat to ride far and end up home, or almost home, I live 40 miles East of Buffalo.
