On I-495 in Delaware I think the speedo said 140 .... the vibes at that speed tend to buzz the gauges so bad its nearly unreadable.
R3's sure could use one more gear!:soapboxr TWO!
a little bit over 100 on the rocket III. But don't tell. It wasn't mine.
187mph GPS on my de-restricted Hayabusa on a slight downhill on route 55 going into WV. (I think it was 55...4 lanes straight as an arrow)
I think top speed on that bike was 194ish..but I couldn't hit it. I'm big boned and stick out from the fairing. My leathers were flapping like a rain suit on my back.
I have taken all of my bikes well over 120mph no need but to show off well a few weeks ago I was heading back to town with a group on the interstate about 15 bikes or so I decided to stay in the very back a few miles in to it and I decided to let every one see a rocket taking off I went from 70 to 120 on the off ramp as we switched from I77 to I26 only one of my members on a concourse would dare try to keep up I still managed to beat him by several minutes to the exit it took everyone else about 20 minutes to meet us there
no restrictions on mine, I've buried the needle on at least one occaision....try not to look at the speedo when really moving,. too much going on, yet to max the bike out thought, thee was more left in her
On the street I will semldom go over 100.. Just seems too freakin risky for both life, limb and license.. On the track though about 145 actual (158 peak indicated)
Anything over 90 I don't take my eyes off the road. I run it like my Trophy and my FJR, until I start to get scared, then I back it down. I will glance at the needle as it drops.
Fast enough for a one-month driving/riding license suspension. And the CHF equivalent of a $400 fine. A few years ago, it was. In early April. Around 9:00 am. Cold. Plenty of snow left on nearby fields. No one on that particular, little-known mountain road up to the Swiss Jura Alps.
