Yamaha rider - considering a new Rocket III - would like advice

Hello Brad and welcome from VA. I communte my R3T and stretch it out whenever I can. I missed a dozen days this winter due to snow and ice and another 2 months due to traveling around with work. Even som in the 9 months since I bought mine, I raked up 10K miles. Buy the bike, learn her moods and above all else, HANG ON TIGHT!

Truthfully, I'd rather be on my Yamaha Super Tenere than the Rocket for most riding. The exception being interstates. That's the only thing the R3 does better.

The Japanese bike doesn't have the crowd appeal that the Rocket has but it handles everything so much easier. Even dirt or gravel roads are fun on it.

OK...now you can all let me have it.

***! I just read through 5 pages. Of this post, waiting to find out if he bought the d@mn thing!

***ing 15 minutes of my life I'll never get back.....

I'm going for a ride....... :)

Ask yourself, do you want versatility or uniqueness?

Do you want easy or not so easy?

Do I like riding my Rocket? You bet! But not because it's easy.

You're comparing apples with pears, or rather and apple with a grape. An apple is harder to swallow whole than a grape. So what?

The Rocket is without doubt the easiest 2300cc bike to ride in any situation. I'm sure I could say that an 800 Tiger would be easier than your Super T or a CT110 is easier than the Tiger. Not sure what your point is. Fact remains that a Rocket is a **** easy bike to ride when you consider it's size and it has the added advantages of all that torque and appeal/intimidation.

And why is dam n a word we can't use on this forum? Bloody hell, too many pilgrims over there that can't stand all that cussing. And I bet hell is a word I can't use either.
