I've noticed that a lot of large people fit on the R3 well.
Whereas, they look like a circus bear riding a tricycle on anything less massive.
One thing's for sure...once you are used to riding a Rocket, almost anything else seems small.
And that has been a very good thing for me. When I had a FJR, other feejer riders would say things about its weight, heaviness or size....I would laugh. It felt like a sport bike to me. Same/same with my S10...people say it's a heavy ADV bike but feels like a little dirt bike to me.
Funny that you mention ADV bikes. I have a Tiger XC that I really like, love the ability to do both dirt and pavement equally well. Rode it to the test ride of the Rocket...Rocket felt huge, intimidating and like driving a Kenworth when I got on it. By the time the test ride was over, I was feeling pretty comfortable on it. Jumped on the Tiger to ride it home and it felt like a toy! I live on a gravel road and do find hanging the back end out on the Rocket on dirt is...an experience I don't enjoy...at least not yet. After just a couple days riding, the Rocket feels very comfortable to ride. Nice to have a bike that's easy to flat foot!
