Tuning a 2023 onwards R3

I just need to get the ECU out (when I've figured out how to do it) and check the serial number. Some '23 bikes still had the '22 ECU. I've been given the numbers for the '22 and revised '23 units. If mine falls within those it's a '22.

My bike was registered in June 2023, so this being the UK it's possible it was a '22 bike.
Why do you want to go through all that when you can use tuneecu to flash the Penner tune and be done with it as we have and who told you that this is not possible on a '23 bike?
I'll connect to my ECU later after work and see if it shows a serial number.

It should be under the seat next to the battery. I'll verify that once I get the 2023GT I made a deal for in my garage (later this week).

It is. It's slotted next to the battery case on the left hand side of the bike. Whether the serial number wil be visible just by removing the battery I don't know. May be on the other side and the unit will need lifting out.

I would assume it needs to be pulled out if you're lookig for the sticker. If you hookup an OBD it might also be in the software.

A scan tool will show you the serial number without any of that pulling bits out, well, mine does.

What are the serial numbers you've been given? My serial # is 10063404 & it's Flashed, de-restricted & rev limit increased etc

You can see the number by removing the battery. Unfortunately mine only shows the first six digits. The dyna shop needs the full number so it needs plugging in to read.
You've got me curious. I'm going to hookup my TuneECU to see if it can pull up that info (once I have the bike in my garage).

Update: I've finally found a dyno shop in the UK who can remap a '23 R3. They've done them before no problem with a full custom map with all restrictions removed and throttle trimmed.

For UK owners who are interested it's Moto Hub at Stoke-on-Trent:

They recommended an MWR hi-flow air filter. Doesn't look like they make one for the R3 so I will be going with a DNA.
