I asked them about the size of the headers, and it turned out to be smaller than the maximum possible size. so I fabricated mine, which is 2 inches right at the exhaust outlet port, but theirs is smaller,.
With my headers and slipon, after adding fuel and remapping ECU, this Rocket has become something else

My Headers are 2 ". Who told you they were smaller ?

I'm liking that. The way the headers flow into a collector looks much more efficient as well as more aesthetically pleasing. I can't see heat being a problem with those full heat shields, especially with no cat reducing flow.
I wonder if Paul will offer them uncoated as an option? Ordering uncoated reduces lead time and I like the idea of polishing an exhaust first and seeing how it colours up before opting for coating. I also think it would look great with the exhaust coated but the shields polished.
Can't wait for it to reach full production. I will be putting an order in.

Here's a shot of the developement pipe in bare steel, no coating.
I've since modified the inlet of the muffler to ease the heat build up at that point.
This is not a restriction, just the point where the fireball is dumped into the inlet end of the (expanding volumn) muffler.

The stock system weighs around 19Kg, this system of mine (complete) is 5.0 Kg.

Also, the mounting bracket for the muffler is in place in this photo.

This is not a restriction, just the point where the fireball is dumped into the inlet end of the (expanding volumn) muffler.

I will have these pipes coated by www.hpcoatings.co.nz in either a Polished Aluminium or a Satin Black.
This coating system has an internal ceramic heat barrier coating.
The heat shields will have the same coating so the system will effectively have two layers of the internal ceramic coating.

The owner of the bike shown above has done over 1000 Km's on the bike with the finished system fitted, he has reported back zero heat issue's when on the road.
This bike was fitted with a "not well made" Carbon Fibre heat shield, this did not work well in practice, yet heat was still not an issue.

The turn out on the end of the muffler was the owners choice, this won't be on the production pipe. (unless desired)
This pipe will fit with the Triumph Panniers fitted.
