The infamous starter click

At the end of 2023 my starter was doing the "click" badly. Sometimes it would take 4 or 5 stabs to get it to start. Last winter I installed a relay that takes power straight from the battery to the start solenoid. I did nothing else. I just thought about it today. It hasn't done the click one time this riding season. I think it's cured

100, but the bike was tore down so that was a plus , it’s something to do with the grounds in loom, your fix is definitely easier and i noted it months back when you posted how to do it. Showoff

long time ago i installed two relays to take the current out of the ignition and so i taught why not put the starter relay to battery so i did that.
similar to what the rocket scientist did and since then i have never had a click problem. actually i never had a problem before i have had several no click problems like clutch switch dirty that seemed to work if i let out the lever slowly and when i had some spare time i wd40 it. and the starter button and what i did was push hard on the button and tried to wiggle it. one pf these years i need to take it apart and clean it.
