I'm old school, and a data bigot. The 1968 BMW 1600 on which I learned to drive. All the "cool" cars over which I lusted as a young person . . . remember the Pontiac Judge ? Actually had a tach in the hood . . . and my gorgeous (in my mind) 1971 Jaguar Series III 2+2, with its suite of crisp Smiths gauges . . . what can I say . . . I like that look and I like that data.

I'm going to get one, and hope someone here can help with the handlebar mount, either directly, or suggestion..
@Joesmoe You need one of these?

Possibly. The trick is, on the Touring, for practical purposes any mount needs to be *above* the handle bar. Where the original mounted, in general did not allow for a windscreen, and with the Touring windscreen in place, there is insufficient room to attach anything substantial such as even one of those binnacles to a handlebar clamp bolt. I'm at a loss, and Tom says he doesn't want that responsibility.

Is there any reason apart from mounting position why a tacho from a Standard/Classic/Roadster can't be fitted to an R3T? What would be involved?

Cost. tbh - it's easier to get a neat little KOSO/Daytona (whatever) unit which comes with bike mounts and simply fit it. About 70-80 quid in the UK.

This is how the Koso looks mounted on the bar right in the middle of my clamp.
