One thing that made my starter spin faster was changing the ground to a heavier gauge wire, others doubled one alongside the existing ground wire, I believe.

Did that with my first starter and it started but not all the time.
Then I brought that stater to a guy that specializes in started and I bought the kit with the new drive and new contacts and he tested start and it worked perfectly, then went to put it in my bike and got the same behavior that's when he said perhaps the gear is a little worn, so that when I bought this other starter and still have the same thing happing, so now it sounds like for what ever reason it's must not be getting the full 12 volts to start? Maybe it's the spark plugs I will check them.
Hopefully the spark plugs was a joke, think your problem is you aren't getting full voltage to the starter, whether pos. or ground consistently. Trace cable from battery to starter and grounds from beginning to end. Clean and tight, when you have verified all is good, then you can start down the check list. This is all based on you knowing battery is good.

no its not and its a quick way to know if the starter is actually operational or if its an issue with the gears engagement (the advice that a pro tech gave him that it was not), am i a joke to you?
takes all of 5 minutes to pull a few plugs.
I literally had the exact same issue he has now just 2 months ago. the issue was contacts as i stated before. it could definatly be a bad wireing issue but the tech he had it at said it was a gear engagement issue and his hunt for a starter with a good gear has not been good so far.

So...

You can eliminate battery CCA by hooking a booster and trying. If it spins right every times need a better battery.

You can eliminate wire with doubled up ground and alternator power cable as mentioned. If it spins right Everytime, great.

If those don't work, and clean contacts didn't work, start searching ingition circuit. This is an 05 bike right? 05s still had the wonky failure prone ignition circuit. You can wire in two relays to fix the loading, one takes the current of the starter when button is depressed instead of the harness taking it, second is a normally closed circuit that opens to kill headlights when cranking.

If you STILL have the problem with a tested good starter the only things I'm aware that could cause it are faulty/misaligned Bendix, bad starter switch itself, mechanical issues (unlikely).

Ok decided to do video as you can see this time had to push 10 times to start no difference then my car one with all new contacts and puch rod. And this is the Rocket starter that I just got so no difference.
The second video the starter fuze is clicking and noticed the other side is clicking as well is that normal? Or should I just replace the both? Since the spark plugs are hard to get at will be the last .
Besides at the time I bought 14 years ago they said I got the best high performance spark plugs that I will never need to change at the time I think was $17 for each one.
Oh sorry both videos say was too big so can't post.

Whoever sold hou snake oil plugs......
Allen bolt at the top of the tank, hinge tank up. Scoot wires around pull socket, remove plug.
It takes more time to type this out than it does to pull a plug.
It's not going to fix anything... dont be intimidated by the spaghetti farm under the tank.
I just replaced my coils with overhead coil packs and it took longer to solder the wires than the entire job and it only took 15 minutes to do!

Hope this all works out.
I have also heard of the clutch switch being problematic but if it is clicking each time then it's probably not that.

Not saying that, his comment was "maybe it is the spark plugs, I'll check them".
