SHOCKS

The boy stood on the burning deck
Playing with his willy
With such long shakes
his trouser snake
was getting rather chilly.
"Blow, blow you buggers blow
and stop the thing from freezing"
"Blow yourself" the buggers said
Teasing, teasing, teasing.

Apologies to Felecia Dorothea Hemans

Sorry to hear about your Progressive problems.

I’ve done two short rides on my new Nitro’s ……………… FANTASTIC !

Hope for a real ride next weekend.

'kinell - that's a lot. I run about 20-22mm front and rear. What dampers have you got in the front?

I have installed Progressive springs up front and Progressive 444 in rear.
.75 inch is a little too harsh IMHO. What I suggested was 30% of suspension travel as a starting position. Obviously spring rate, load and rider weight and rider preference all affect this. I am at 1 inch sag right now with the HD springs and softest setting. Tis a tad harsh for my back so I'm looking into getting some "standard" springs as I be near the 250 threshold.

30% is maybe OK for Dynamic sag (i.e sat on the blighter) - but for my taste it's borderline. tbh I think a lot of road bikes run with too much travel as well.

Is there any room to back off the damping at all in the 444's - i.e have the oil changed to another grade? - it is the disadvantage of my Fournales rears - as the springing is increased it ups the damping.

I am on the softest setting (screwed all out) and damping is variable and automatic, which I really like!
I need soft springs so I can have more adjustment.
So far unable to find springs or know if they can be changed.
