Just have plenty of rear tires in stock. These Captains like to shred rear tires. It's an old fart thing. If you can't spurn 'em, burn 'em.

Smok'in or not really don't matter at all to me. Ohio (the brown eye state) has a smoking ban in all restorea's (truck driver slang for eatery), any public place or whatever. We have what we call the 'boardroom' at the college where all the instructors go and smoke and tell lies. It is 40 feet from the main building. A couple of the professors actually got a can of marking paint, marked the parking lot and set up a portable awning. What lengths you have to go to. Amy and I don't smoke in the house, only outside anyway. I can always get a pinch of Skoal but you don't want to ride behind me when I let 'er rip. Like I said, all I need is a 110 volt outlet for my CPAP machine and a shower for my stink'in body in the AM.

Amy and I had lunch Sunday last with Ed and Carol and I gave them the dates for Nashville and I'm hoping that we can dovetail the Chesapeake Bay trip in too. If that's the case, you can ride with us to Nashville, 4 is better than one or two or ride the bay trip with us and Nashville too. E&C get in no hurry, they make me look like a kid age wise. I'm waiting to get an e-mail from them as to whether we can make the whole trip or not. I'll keep you apprised as soon as I hear from them......This is gonna be fun.

Motel Update

Guys I was hopeing to hear from Ray to get his input on the below planned lodging before posting, but nothing. I hope the nasty weather out there missed all of you guys. Ray may have found the right one and be on his honeymoon as we speak, so here goes. We have nine rooms booked at the following:

All of these rooms are single non-smoking at a rate of 64.95 a night less tax.
These rooms are on hold only until 4pm July 6, 2007 and will be released if not confirmed by credit card by that date. The rooms are booked for check out on Sunday, July 8th. The rooms are held under confirmation number 57728849 under the R/3 Riders Group. Use the following central number if you wish to confirm your own little piece of heaven or check on an upgrade 1-800-800-8000. I did confirm my room tonight and upgraded to a smoking double for $84.00 a night just incase the crowd does grow and an exta bed is needed. Right now double rooms are only advailable in smoking, which I gave up years ago but it doesn't bother me. You can take a tour of this place at http://www.super8.com/. Being surrounded by "gummit housing" and the meat packing plant, I'm sure we will be fine. ONLY KIDDING, the place looks clean and has a Cracker Barrel across the street so us real old farts will be among our own kind. Gentlemen this is the best I can do for a Holiday weekend so If you want to look at other options please don't feel obligated. I do feel with all of us at the same location the BS would flow much better. Please use Jared if you have any questions about Smashville, he has gone out his way to help. Finally, Flip what the hell is a CPAP machine? but I probably don't want to know and keep me updated on the ride down. I am going to take a break, too **** much typing lately....One more thing guys you may want to post when you confirm a room so we can keep track of what is open.

Heeee's back!

Hey britman you rule!!! This place looks great. I have already called and confirmed a room. Sorry Flip and Rusty, no way I am sharing a room...well at least with another biker dude. And I did notice that pets were allowed, maybe that will attract more R3 captains that share a sheep fetish with Jamie.

Jared, our group will plan to be at Castle Powersports at 10:00 on saturday morning.

I think we should plan on Bikini Beach Biker Bar on Saturday at 5:00. They will have something planned for us.

Friday we can just meet at the hotel. Everyone will want to shower and clean up. Then once everyone arrives, needs to be before 6, we can go to dinner. Jared can you recommend a fun place for a bunch of very tired bikers to dine Friday night?

if yall want to give me some ideas about what kind of food everyone one can agree on then i can narrow it down for yall.im not sure where yall are from but i know a whole bunch of us bike riders in nashville love hooters. if yall want to give me some ideas as to the kind of food yall would be interested in i can get some places together.

Hooters would be right there at the top of the list for me. I get all the free chicken bones I want. Heck, sometimes there's even a little sauce left on the ends.

If you haven't got my jest, I'll eat anything that don't eat me first.

hooters it is

there are 4 different hooters locations in nashville. there is one directly downtown on 2nd ave. and there are 3 others scattered out. the one downtown you will have to find and pay somewhere to park. the others have pretty big parking lots and are free to park. they are just about 15-30 minutes give or take away. probably not even that. so as soon as yall get me a head count and it gets a little closer to the date i will call and make reservations at one of them for you. so just keep me posted on the head count.
