Roadster Review and Comparison!

point taken.. onto a different subject (but I dont know how to start a thread) maybe someone will read this and be able to help.
I really want the shorty exhaust.. its advertised here in the uk but the seller says it wont fit the new abs roadster.
has anyone fitted it and chopped it about.
I have a workshop with tig etc and can get tube bent locally. does anyone think I stand a chance of making it fit without too much wrecking.

Just a note - AFAICR - The "bean can" collector and shorty pipes tend to actually restrict power. I did see a modified ZARD penta on eBAY very recently which did away with the "bean can" - Might have fitted - seller said it would. Also the BAD design of that UK made system is the end pipes are unsupported iirc. If you can get tubes made - Find an end can you like and make your own slip on.

I have custom made shorties on my Roadster

Thats it..something like that would be spot on , like the gas flowed down pipes , think I shall have to look into it a bit more.
Did you have it dyno'd and the mixture tested.

I dunno, to each, his own. Just my opinion. If you don't want to feel the wind in your face, you want to listen to the radio, you have 3 suitcases of clothes and crap to pack, why not just take a cage, and enjoy the trip. Sorry, but the Hardley compared to the Rocket, is a joke. Twist the throttle on the hardley, make more noise. (I know, I have an 06 1200 sporty with many $$$ mods). Twist the throttle on the Rocket, and "hang on". If you need suitcases, a trunk, windshield, stereo and floor boards, the Roadster is not your machine. In fact, I laugh, every time I see one of those road hogs, or wings, with so much chit bolted on, it looks like it's gonna fall over any minute. Some are ****ed near as wide as they are long! Antennas sticking up everywhere. Intercom system, hooked to their old lady on the back, like they don't hear enough of that chit, when home..... OK, I'm done

Thats why they make fast Classics!!!
I love the floor boards
I love the side cases and occasionally my trunk for long hauls
I **** sure love to go fast on my Classic

you've done it now.. knocking intercoms and big antennas.. !
