Yea, I had thought about that also. Just a pain. I have to do my dealership trips on Saturday or take a day off work. They are about 150 miles away so it is an all day thing for anything. Putting butterflies back on to take it up there is just more time I don't have. I think I will just do it and see how it runs and then decide to keep it that way and risk it or not.

This may be a silly question about secondary removal...According the the triumph documentation, they maintain the airflow for torque pruposes. If theya re removed, does it affect the low end, or is this just their way of sdaying we don't trust you with the flip of the wrist?

In my opinion, it made the bike just a bit more responsive on the very low end (like off of idle) and a bit more twitchy in general. I'm glad mine are off.

That's a good description...'twitchy'. The secondaries temper the flow off idle and remove the 'twitch'.
I was going to remove mine, but with the upgrades installed and the new clutch, discs and springs, it's a bit more abrupt off the line so I'll leave them in...for now.

By just removing mine and installing the PCIII it became a different bike. Scary quick with more power off the line than anything I've ridden. If you don't want to risk pulling the front wheel off the ground by accident then don't remove the secondaries and let the computer dole out what it thinks you can handle. Me, I just want it all.

Just remember one thing. The more power you want the bigger wallet you need.

I always find that as I overtake them off the line they pull a wheelie as if that was all they intended all along.
Last month got into it with a FZ 600 something or other from a first gear roll. He was nipping at my rear fender and backed off somewhere over one twenty headed into a curve. He now wants a R-3...........................
