R3 top speed video

That was really hard to watch. Did you see how long he held it in each gear? Clearly has no idea how to ride a bike with so much torque. He was treating it like a whizzy sport bike. He did a whole lap in 4th gear sitting on the red line ffs. I’ve had my Tiger 900 up faster than that and even my Bonneville will do 220. My Street Scrambler did 195 with nobbies! Complete waste of time that undersells what a Rocket can do in even moderately capable hands.

The V-rated Cobra Chrome tires are rated at 147 mph, Triumph Rocket 3 are limited to 147 mph. Coincidence, I think not!
For which I would expect you can exceed by at least 15-20% without issue. No speed speed limits/ratings are the actual upper limit... they know us too well... :sneaky: :whitstling: :p

I really like the track and facility. We need something like that here in the States.
Here n B.C. Canada we have an amazing highway named Coquihalla Highway. It’s an intersectional highway between major cities. Well managed, looooong straight stretches, wide well engineered slanted corners, sparse traffic, and reasonably few radar traps. If someone were to travel it enough to get to know it( many with super cars do) they could do insane speeds on it. I took my new R3r on it this summer. The vibration problem my bike has, combined with my recently acquired “ lack of nads ????” Made it disappointing. My point? ...The young long for the opportunities to be adventurous. The old regret wasting them. If you get it.... take it😉.

Even if my bike didn’t have this vibration problem, I don’t think I’m comfortable with those speeds anymore either. My brain tends to go into chicken sh@@ mode at about 185 these days. Who knows....Maybe the vibration issue is a life saving speed Governor for me these days.
My girl is currently ECU limited to 210KPH/130MPH. I've considered going in and raising that limit (as I've been there)... but have yet to do so. I may never as opportunities to test such safely are limited. I guess I should decide before I turn 60...

No, No, No guys. We are Trans-Geriatric. You know ... 20 year olds trapped in 60/70 year old

Your girlfriend is limited to 130? K, I’ll just shut up, n sit down now.

Boys I'd sure like to give a Rocket 3 a proper high speed run or two. Give one without the throttle bodies closing down to less than 100% and at least 2 miles clear road or 3 miles of salt.

I'm not sure what the potential top speed is with the stock gearing is BUT we need to give a real effort .

This fellow gave it good effort but your heart has to be in it.

Agreed.. I thought it was pisspoor .. a track like that, and he rides like that. Dead loss.

My heart’s always been in it. My mortality has become an annoyance.
