You are correct. Nothing etched in stone as of yet. Dealer is betting on No74 being shipped to the United States. Where did you hear of only 200 being shipped to the US?. Kind of like the X model. They said only a limited number would be shipped to the United States. That did not happen. Requesting no 1 or no 750 was out of the question. Believe he is going to request No 74 and work from there. Says dealer swap is another way to make it happen. Believe he will do everything in his power to get No.74 Considering he was one of the first to receive one of the X models believe he might have some pull from up above. Time will tell. If it is possible believe he will make it happen. He seemed pretty confident something could be worked out.
Cool. So both of us have been told about the same thing. Before my dealer told me that deposit #1 was still available, he told me about the dealer swaps or buying from another dealer. Then he told me I'd be #1, so that didnt matter. The 200 number came from the Regional Rep, and its the same as the Thruxton TFC... 750 worldwide, 200 to the US. Sounds like your dealer is a pretty powerful one... my dealer sold a total of 75 Triumphs last year. They also sell Indians and used to be Victory. They sell maybe 2 R3's per year.
Same one i bought the X at. Eurosport. They kind of screwed up and made a post about it on the X. They forgot to apply the label to the ECU showing the tune installed. Really got irritated at them for that but now understand how it happened. Believe they have been around for awhile and sell a lot of Triumphs. Buying the X from them was nothing but outstanding. Called gave them the info and next day they called back and asked when i wanted to pick it up. No surprises at sell either. Everything agreed upon was in black and white. Signed and rode off. Figure the same this time.
