Thanks nickehild and fastfreight

Thanks for posting up photos guys. NickeHild that last one was the one that I was hoping to see. Thanks much, you are a great help.Looks expensive to change, but i like the black rail against my black motor. And i really like where the controls are on the Rocket Roadster.

How shortsighted was it from Triumph not to send even a prototype or a facsimile of the Roadster over to their biggest marketplace, the U.S, to show it off nationally at the the Int'l Bike Show. Dumb, dumb, dumb and very disappointing to say the least.

I attended the show in NYC and was dismayed to see that Triumph had no factory representation at all... my local dealer provided all the bikes and there was neither a single Triumph accessory, nor any triumph clothing available or on display whatsoever. Not too smart, if you ask me!

No Phil,
Just a different strategy than the harley one we're use to seeing EVERYWHERE.
You see 5 yr olds with harley logos on them, girls with harley purses and harley stickers on everything.
Triumph is concentrating on building better bikes.
Not on fashon yuppy clientel.
Do I wish they'd show a stronger presence in America?
Not really. I like it just the way it is.
Quality bike and not everybody and their dog has one,
or at least the t-shirt.

Well, Skip, Hinckley does appear to be able to keep their eye on the prize, i.e., a quality product and I do understand that the costs involved to support a nationwide dog and pony show are quite steep. However, as a new Triumph owner, it was more than a little disappointing to not be able to get up close and personal with more of the brand's goodies, while attending the country's largest promotional forum for motorcycles, motorcycling and motorcycle enthusiasts.

I understand that buddy.
We're ALL proud of our choice,
over the herd mentality of the clone riders.
But think about it,
Right now WE have a unique bike in a sea of v-twin clones and wannabes.
If Triumph pulled out all the stops and advertised, advertised, advertised,
We'd just have another bike like everbody else.
If I wanted to be like everybody else,
I'd have bought another hardly.;)

"GO YOUR OWN WAY"
I like that.

Hey skip.. i live and work in central london... i drive a black london cab. So i am always out and about..if not on the bike then i'm in the cab. And i don't see any rockets, there's a graphite grey one parked in chelsea occasionally and thats about it.
Plenty of jap cruisers and sports bikes and of course a few harleys. Yeah it's kinda cool having a different bike to everybody else. And i like having 3 tailpipes.
So i know what you mean

So you are one of those famous London cabbies, what is it you guys are supposed to be privy to...the "knowledge" (the test, or whatever it is to be able to drive in the "City")?

Wish I could have another go at the Dominion and see WWRY.
