Did consider that, and aiming to do both! Its a lot harder to shift the 20lbs off my bulk than it is to swap an exhaust and save 13kgs.. (26lbs or so?)
Best upgrade you can possible do though is the carbon wheels - for the usual reasons we are all familiar with - gyroscopic rotational weight is worth 4x as much off the bike frame etc. etc.
