is this harley faster than rocket 2.5?

never lost to any harley on my rocket...these guys dump 20-30k into a build for them and run low 12's. imagine that, your already disappointed owning a harley and then you still get smoked by any modern day 600cc japanese bike. they live a tough life!!!! lolololol

I’ll race either one of my Rockets against it for pinks. I’ve got a lot of Harley T shirts that are lonely for a bike.
For a HD it looks like it might be a fun bike to ride you could never sell or trade it and recoup the money.

I'd like to put a bet down on the Doc for that race, please.

I'm surprised, same hp, a lot lighter
How long of a race? Short race torque wins, longer race, horsepower weight and aero will prevail.
Maybe a quarter mile? The Rocket jumps out in front from a 15 mph roll on on or a dig and stays out front till i hit around 120 mph. The KTM starts to close the distance very slowly towards the end but would take an extended wide open run to possibly catch up. We did not have enough room for those kinds of runs. From a dig he actually jumped out first but the Rocket quickly passed him by second gear. BTW he is a very good rider.

The sas dyno is around 135 hp and 84 ft lbs tops out at 145 mph and I know it's geared taller than the 2300 r3. It's good to know the new R3 is faster being such a monster of an engine. The 1290 in the SDR puts about 30+ hp to the back tire and I doubt any stock r3 would fare as well.

Yes, the Super Duke is a slightly different machine. My TFC does have a Penner tune in it son it's not exactly stock. On the second race from a dig I was giving him the cadence of the one to three go as example of the start I was suggesting. When he heard "go" he hit it and took me by surprise as I was only telling him what we were going to do. Well I hit it as fast as i could and got out front as he lifted the front in his first gear, then I was gone. The other riders said he wheelied in two more gears but I never saw it since I was gone.
He admitted that the torque of the Rocket was to much to overcome but he thought aerodynamics might play a factor at much higher speeds.

As to any Harley????? I have not seen one that would even come close to any Rocket. It would have to have a big bore kit and blower on it to make it interesting.
