Installation of Neville Lush Racing "street" cams in 2014 Rocket III Touring

Goodonya, Pablo!!!
I haven't been able to entice Warpo to my garage . . .

So, I'm an example of how, if something can be misinterpreted, it will be.

Even with numerous tips and checks, I managed to set the cam timing exactly one revolution out of phase. Timing marks all lined up, cam marks all lined up, number one piston high. And incorrect.

Paying attention to fundamentals, it became clear as Warp asked, "What do you see ?"

The second time would be easy . . . (easier).

[Note: I am amazed the motor runs at all in this configuration. Warp and I are surprised there is not enough smarts in the ECU to throw a code.]

Murphy's law, but I am just tickled pink you are getting things sorted out. Needless to say...I will NOT be swapping cams in the future. If I do, I will be paying very close attention before I begin taking things apart. The manual is not that clear in my opinion.

In the old days, with cars, you would just need to swap the opposite spark plug leads over on the distributer and all would be well.

IF it is what I suspect from Pauls post: Then I suspect that ignoring the manual for a moment might have helped. I would love to fit a set of Nev's cams. But I suspect I would have huge issues getting the beast past the Emission Nazis

I think you mean distributor - You above all know we need to set higher standards. Tsk!.

Fortunately we do not have annual checks of vehicles or motorcycles here in Michigan. Annual inspections and certification must be a pain. And on another thought...like motorcycle are really the pollution issue in this day and age. Smaller than a gnats rear end in my opinion. Give me a break EPA!

Glad you got things sorted

what is the proper way to get all things correct ?

how did you identify the out of phase?

Just IN CASE I want one of these cams
