YEP its so slippery it gives you better mileage and top speed thats why we use it on the TRIUMPH STREAMLINER and it keeps the salt from sticking and makes it easy to keep clean

@IMFASTTOO your rocket may get 40+ mpg but mine doesn't when cruising at 85 mph (speed limit was 80). I get 150 miles or so out of a tank, and yes, gas stations are that far apart in west Texas and some have pretty irregular hours. Should I have had extra fuel with me? Yes. Did I? No, so probably poor planning on my part. When I kicked the cruise control off to exit for fuel the bike died and I discovered that I can get exactly 6.12 gallons of usable fuel out of a full tank. Just glad the one pump station in the middle of nowhere was downhill from the I-10 exit so that I could coast in instead of push and that it was open. Not a lot of folks around.

R3Tex..... I'm with you. I'm not so bored, that I want to "play chicken" with gas stations. And, I don't like being obligated to stop at the very next gas station I see. I like having options and choices. That requires having extra range. Who needs, ( or enjoys ), that desperate for gas feeling? I don't. Stopping to eat or pee? No problem. Hard up for fuel? "Problem", ( in my book ). The paint job thing is interesting, but I like my factory paint, and by the time I finish spending money on a new custom gas tank, ( if I should be so lucky ), I'll probably be tapped out by then.

Zact same thing happened to me last April..... Thank God for that down hill off I-20 !!!

WOW that sucks on those kind of rides I would carry a Jerry jug

Run outta gas in a car or truck, and you may need a whole new fuel.pump. My wife did it recently with our Chevy Suburban. I was shocked, when I brought gasoline, miles and miles, out into the desert, and it still did no good. We needed a tow. And, a replacement fuel pump install. Why are our bikes so forgiving, while 4-wheeled vehicles are not? Thank God for mall favors.....

Oh, quit effing with the beast and just get out there and do some "low flying" already! You can always stretch your mileage out by simply slowing down every now and again, ya' know.

Definitely quality products.

I have two of their (no longer made) single tanks. I asked them why they don't make them anymore, and they said they were threatened with lawsuits because idiots would overfill them, leave them in the sun, shake them around on the bike, and blame the company for a bad design "You should have known" when fuel would spew as the top was opened.

They appear to have all the parts needed for a complete system, and even include tank baffles to help keep sloshing fuel from upsetting bike handling.

Fighter plane designers do the same thing.
