I was very interested to read this thread because I'm in the market for additional hand protection. On the Rocket Roadster I am using Oxford heated grips:

(which are very good), combined with these translucent gray guards (which are stylish, and great as stone/bug deflectors, but don't provide full wind protection for winter use):

Today I decided to make a purchase, so checked out manufacturer websites, also RevZilla, eBay etc and all the customer reviews of Hippo Hands, Moose Paws, Oxford and other products offered as ATV and snowmobile muffs that I could find. Based on that, I decided on Hippo Hands since they seemed to offer the most protection. This morning I exchanged emails with Hippo Hands customer service (who were very responsive - I was impressed!) and ordered a pair of "Pacific Coast" based on their recommendation. A couple of hours later I received an email to say they have shipped, which impressed me again. The Pacific Coast model is designed for bikes with swept-back handlebars. They will be installed in combination with the WindBusters, to prevent wind pressure from pushing the Hippo Hands against the handlebar levers. This is something Hippo Hands warns about on their website. I'm looking forward to trying them out.
