Hahah dreamers...........

I think most all the fasted bikes in the early 70's were what I would call was a Flex Flyer . I never rode anything that if you pushed it on a twisty road or in some hard curve that the bike do not Flex and give very bad feelings. That is why I was into drag bikes.

Grampi Learning on how to do a hole shot on the modified H1 500 was the hardest thing I ever had to do. I can not count the times that thing unloaded my butt. I installed a kill switch just for that reason

My H2 was no sissy bike either it would run in the low 12's all day and that is almost stock. my plans was to get the 750 into the 10's. The best run I made on the 500 was 11.14 with a 410 hole shot at Person County Drag strip. I kept the time slip framed for many years.
That is the same place I went through the traps at 94 mph and the bike never went through the traps it was about 6 feet in the air.

Thanks to a Bell Star Helmet and a full set of leathers I was OK.
THE two strokes were a wild ride I Dragraced them and Roadraced them and had national records with the H1s and H2s and records with big bore H1s that I created that were 700CC it was my own big bore Cycls Had the national record for the stock H1 500cc clas at 11.96 @ 111 MPH

Whats your opinion on how good a Rocket Roadster handles?
The Roadsters handle good for such a big bike and they will handle better yet if set up correctly for the rider they are off course a cruiser but they can be hustled down twisty back roads with the best road bikes

The touring might even handle better because of the smaller back tire. In any case big bikes are never going to handle like lighter bikes but they seem fine to me. My brother in law had an H2 and I had a Harley chopper, I memorized his license plate!

THE ROCKET handles better with a 140 front tire it makes a big improvement BUT if you want to ruin the handling just mount a CAR TIRE that f---ks up everything LOL

I never knew anyone that made a 700cc kit or was that just yours own...I wish I would have known about it.

11.96@ 111 mph was an awesome for a pure stock H1 ...Congrats

How quick was the 700 cc, did you have to run it in the open class. Down here all we had was pure stock and open class as far as the motorcycles.

Mine handles just fine, but ofcourse, i know how to ride:D

Many riders can get used to just about anything that compromises the handling of their bikes. The major problem with that issue and CTs is that your safety, your passenger's and possibly that of others with whom you share the road is compromised, as well.
