Hi all I have to replace my fuel pump and dealer is telling me 6 to 8 wks for a new one so I am looking at replacing it with a non genuine one from eBay has anyone done this before ?
So long as it fits, and it's rated for the proper pressure. Fuel injection uses high pressure, but different systems use differing pressures. But if there is an aftermarket pump that says it will work, well, I'd have no problem.

The walbro 342 pump does need a small amount of work to the fuel hose exiting the pump to get it to fit as it is approx 1/2 inch longer. You may need to use the triumph "tea bag" filter as well on the walbro pump. Be cautious of "replacement " pumps as they are often made in china or similar and can be poor copies... Also the pressure is determined by the REGULATOR not the pump. The pump supplies volume. Your pressure should be 42psi or very near.
