First ride with triple K&Ns

Wow, The mod changes the inhalation volume considerably. Hummm But still you opine that the stock intake tubing must go. What is ISCV.

Why would A RamAir set up attract moisture? They are so easy to clean if they were to be trashed somehow.

The ISCV is the stepper motor setting, it controls the engine idle - Idle Stepper Control Voltage - it needs to be calibrated along with the TPS. This is all done with the TuneEcu program after you download a new tune onto your ECU, or if you are experiencing idle issues.

Moisture is not an issue. My bearclaw covers the RamAir completely

Got that. Basic diagnostics and set up in TECU. The experts have generously posted maps that should fit.

What is your range per tank these days? Have you Dynoed your bike to see what it puts onto the rear tire?

I installed the RamAir a couple of months ago and the only thing I removed was the plenum on top of the intakes, reason being if I want to revert back I won't have all the hassle evryone moans about and If I take the stock filter out of its housing I still benefit from the additional storage space.

range is 150-170 depending on aggressiveness. It got 210-230 with the old stock tune for Tors & cat delete only (20226 i think)
I don't give a rip about mileage though.
I've only @ss dyno'd it and am completely satisfied when my @ss starts chewing holes in the saddle

I guess I get that, but one great benefit to me is getting all of that plumbing the heck out of the way

Moisture is not really a problem with the Ramair, as they are treated with magic muck that you reapply after cleaning the filter at around 10000 miles or sooner if needed !
My bike has pcv and tors , the dyno readings are 149rwh and around 150 ft lbs torque . Greatly improved over stock ! I also have the secondaries removed and redine of 7000rpm .

These are the two air inlets from the stock air box.

Not at the air cleaners. So I tossed all the factory air ducts and air box crap into a box and stored it away. It does not take long to remove the air intake tubes and stuff. You do need to lift the tank. But overall it is an easy job. The factory air box now makes for a good storage box for gloves, rags, whatever fits. I often end up riding in the rain and I have yet to have an issue sucking in water. The K&Ns are reusable. You clean them with the K&N cleaner and re oil them with the K & N Oil. I have been using K & N on everything for as long as I can remember. There is an obvious increase in the intake sound, its perfectly normal. The 12 minute tune is not a enough for an accurate re tune. I do not have any tunes saved as the laptop I had the tunes on met an early accidental death.

Can we see the left side of your bike. Would like to see what you did to the bear claw if anything. I have 97 Classic and run stock pipes, no CAT, stock intake through a K&N.

If ya run with the 2780 K&Ns or the RamAir there is NO NEED to trim the bearclaw!
