Final drive breather

hi there,this breather is a push fit,well in 06 it was , now it's seized in , typical !!!
the mushroom top is spot welded to the 'stalk'.
i removed mine , snapped the weld & thought oop's !!!
pair of stilsons removed the rest, ( stalk part ,would'ent of come out , fought all the way )
left the breather in a cup of degreaser then petrol to clean it out.
put the mushroom part back on , drilled it out & used a rivet for now to joint it back together !
thought i would get a new 1 sometime !!
how much are they & where from ???

I buy from here and it looks like the breather cap is the same for all years and models.

Yes it's expensive for what it is. I have given up trying to remove mine as it will definitely break off.

Buy a set of Corbin Beetle Bags. Install. Then you can't see the breather.

hi guys dont like the idea of 'ignoring it' it was put there for a reason you know , blown seals (not the type in the joke !!!) is not pretty nor cheap to rectify !!
now i've been looking through my - can't throw that out ,it mite just come in for something box of 'spare parts' !!
i've found an old gear box breather from my Mitsubishi L200 ,now sadly gone, cleaned it up , it is only rubber & walla , an excellent breather made for the job & will just fit in the hole ,with a squirt of silicon sealer !!!
in my case free but i'm sure your local scrapyard or vehicle recycler, as they are now known, will be able to help !!!
not necessary to be off an L200 you no !!
Not the £28 so kindly quoted to me by 1 of our other members.
i'm from Yorkshire, as shown by the size of my 'spares box'
