Engine Vibration continues

Could it be the "anti-judder" spring on the bottom/back of the clutch plates loosing it's ability to anti-judder? It must be there for a purpose! Mine did not rattle at idle when new, but now at 5K miles does. Only when clutch is out. Light pull on the clutch lever and the rattle go away. I see some aftermarket clutch packs don't use the judder spring. Anyone having the infamous rattle using the aftermarket clutch plates?

Have you driven at 75 mph and pulled the clutch lever in just enough to take up most of the free play and the vibration ceases the lifter piece is solid steel and easily heavy enough to cause the vibration and I thought of making one from titainium and have it hard coated or another design to keep the lifter on center

yes i have driven 75-80 and pulled the clutch slightly enough to take up the free play and when it centers the clutch drum the vibration goes away.
i would think that if u put the lifter piece into a 4 jaw lathe and off centered it an inch that nothing would happen. but if u took the clutch drum fully loaded with clutches hubs and springs and off centered a 1/4 of an inch that the lathe at the fastest speed would vibrate like these rockets do.. jmo

WELL Im saying not to pull it in enough to take all the play out or disengage the clutch just enough to stop the vibration at least it works that way with my bike maybe your bikes different but tht bike has to vibrate some as its not completely vibration free but they are a lot smoother than the Harleys and other V twins

Ya know, I've wondered about the clutch basket assembly, and how it is attached, and thought maybe something might have come loose. My vibration came on like flipping a switch. It's still there, never has gotten worse in the past 10,000 miles. Like I said, one day it might explode, and then maybe I'll know what it is/was. Until then, I love my Rocket, and catchin bugs in my teeth!

i am assuming that u r saying u would like to have one made out of titanium for the weight saving factor if u do that then u could before installing the new lifter u could start it w/o a lifter and take it up to 3 grand and see if the vibration is still there.
then u could post that i am full of $hit or u r WRONG :)

The vibration in mine has diminished to hardly any now since I fixed the Vacum leaks and have the throttle bodys synced up nicely

WELL it is what it is either way we fixit it doesnt matter if Im wrong it wouldnt be the first time LOL and it would be nice to fix the problem and ride off on a SMOOOOOOTH Rocket. some of the guys have the TTS hydraulic cluch mod I wonder if that mod fixed the vibration ?
