Don't know about finding a specific "tool" aka OBDII code reader that will list in its specs that it's compatible with a motorcycle, but the fact is that OBDII is already universal to all vehicles that use OBDII diagnostics. I have a 2013 R3T, before I acquired TuneECU I was using the same (cheapo) OBDII code reader that I use on my other vehicles. It's the AutoLink AL319, which I think I paid less that $30 US from Amazon a few years ago. Reads the codes fine and will allow you to reset faults, etc.
Anyway, as others have suggested, plan on getting TuneECU as it allows you to do so much more than just read codes. You can spend time on YouTube watching videos of it being used which is what I did. BTW - my R3T doesn't have ABS which I'm guessing your 2014 does have ABS. My simple AutoLink code reader won't read ABS codes, so be aware that not all simple code readers will do so. Good Luck.
ERRATA: As for local help with Triumph service good luck there too. My closest "factory approved" dealer is incompetent. Otherwise there's only one really competent Triumph servicer here within 200 miles and I haven't had to use him...so far. He owned the Triumph dealership here for years before the "BIG" money motorsports type of dealership opened and put him out of business. Sad.
