Carpenter Questions

Standard order kits use Tuneboy and PC-V. The tuneboy flash is used to raise redline to 9000, primarily, but also gives him access to the other tables.

PC-V is used to fine tune the fueling.

These are what I have been told first hand by Bob, not an employee, Bob.

He DOES have other non-public tools which I won’t go into available to use...

Regarding greater than 265whp kits, they’re out there, in the wild, race bikes only from what I was told.

The fuel pump won’t add power, unless, the bike was already running too lean, in which case, it’s not really optional to use.

I assume the "little" 210 kit is not 9000 RPM and Tune ECU would work fine, no?

I would posit there is a lot of potential for increased torque left over and above the 265 cam.

The big cam idles very smooth, has no bog down low, and is “right sized”, thinking from the V8 world, if the cam were bigger there would be trade offs, including a narrower but higher torque peak and rougher running all around.

Just what I needed another ****ographic Carpenter thread. I’m getting hornier all the time. I may need to wait a bit for the budget to have enough play money to go for a kit but I’m learning on here.

Exactly right, Bob isn’t a fan of TuneECU.

I have a feeling you’ll see 9000 RPM bikes not using either TuneBOY or TuneECU ...

Tuneboy was only ever brought on from what I understand to get it to rev over 7k.
