Your second photo is much improved, IMO.
The CES can is smaller diameter at the end than yours. The top of it should pass just at or under the rear axle bolt on mine.
I want as much room as possible for panniers. If I have to use them for a long trip, I want the largest possible and mine are 23 L, 19.5 H & 14.4 W.
I also like the look of the straighter, more parallel to the ground, look better than upswept.
I be curious what you had to do to change the can angle on yours? Was it a big deal?

Bit of a fiddle. Step 1 was to take it to an exhaust specialist ;) although a competent welder could do it. Cut the pipe where it bent up and had a straight piece welded in it's place. Was a bit more technical because it also kicked out at that point but he did a great job. He then extended the bracket to fit. Left side was simple because my cross over pipe runs at a right angle rear of where he cut/welded so all that was needed there was to lengthen the bracket. You can see in the 2nd pic where the bolts were - foot peg went through the rear one previously. I made up a black cover to hide the welding. Importantly for you, the angle of the header pipe wasn't changed; just the can.

Thanks for the info.
Reckon I did not realize you are running a three into one into two system.
The CES is a three into one system, is it not?

The beauty of it is that you can run whatever you want. The header pipes terminate at the same point as the stock header. I opted for 1 3/4 outlet so I could hook it up to the pipes I had, which means I could have hooked it up to any stock pipes (2 or 3) or other pipes that fitted to a stock header, such as Staintune. I believe the header/can combo is 2 1/4 outlet and yes, is a single can, but you can of course fit whatever you want to the header. I'm happy with the smaller outlet. Certainly have gob loads of torque and I don't like to run in high rev range. I reckon 2 1/4 could be a bit breathless unless you have other mods. 2" maybe a good compromise. Just my thoughts though.
Pretty sure Bruce's, by the way, was a one-off and is a bit different to what you'd get.

The way I take it is the earlier Rockets had silver engines. By the time Triumph started painting the engines black they had sorted out some of the problems like the gearbox upgrade.
My 06 is painted black but had to have an upgrade kit installed because 2nd gear went out.

Thanks once again, Mate!
Do I owe you anything?
:p

With you there. I lowered mine about 2 inches at the mount, which translated to about 4 inches at the tip.

Wow that looks loads better Richard . Bloody sharp looking Beast these days with those headers and intake i like the look of that especially after the change in the muffler angle . Flows nice with the lines of the bike . Think im gonna have to start playing with mine again im getting the bug back after seeing yours and bruces bikes

Thanks young Mitch. Your bike was one of the ones that made me want to do things to mine. Nice to do gradually and get what you want.
