Good old Allstate motorcycles by Sears (Punch) My dad worked for Sears for 32 years. I remember telling my mom I would wait in the automotive department just so I could look at them. By the time I started riding they were no longer around.

Yeah red was the only color I bought it off my uncle ,there was a cup attached to the gas cap when you pulled it off that you put the oil in and dump it in the tank. I think I was about 14, mini bikes were the rage then. Every kid had one I lived a 2 miles from the school I would ride mine to school and leave it at a friend's house, you weren't allowed to take them on school property.

Yep my first road bike I got my license on a 1980 Yamaha 850 triple XS. Prior to that a clapped out 1973 Honda XL250.

Another kid had a 500 Honda 4 but my 350 Kawasaki triple could outrun his 500 Honda oh high school days

I had one of these 3ta's for a while. I bought it off a mate who along with his brother, were bike nuts!..They could strip bikes down and rebuild them like pro's. Mine had been changed alot having had a 'hot' 500cc motor installed, daytona guards,Megaphone cans and open headlight. It had a blue paint job with silver pin striping. The seat had been remodeled with "Triumph" in silver across the rear of it. I remember doing burnouts on it and having to re tighten the chain afterwards. It was clocked at 107mph thru a quarter mile reputedly...not by me. A touch of castor oil in the tank and she smelt like racing fuel...i used to ride behind the previous owner on my Kwaka just to smell that!

The smell. Unforgettable it was. Casrol R was what we used in the UK. (Probably was available for you at the time)
Fantastic memories.
