Bikes we owned....way back when....

Mine was Yamaha FS1 SS in 1972 We were only allowed a max of 50cc when we turned 16 in South Africa.
It was my first taste of freedom and it seemed like "I could go anywhere now" Top speed about 60 miles an hour as long as there was no hill at all.

My second Bike when I was 17- a Zundapp ss 50. This thing was streets quicker than my little Yammie and could even carry a passenger, which was illegal on a 50

First bike was my dad's 1958 Tiger T110, my first bike 1967 Bridgestone 175, 1977 Honda CJ 360, 1976 KZ650, 1985 Suzuki Madura 700, and my 2005 America. That is my motorcycle history.

This is like the 57' Cushman I had.

Here is my first "real" motorcycle. 1970 Kawasaki 175 F3 "Bushwacker". Next to me is my dad on his 1966 Kawasaki 250 A1 SS "Samurai". Got my special high water pants on.......

Apparently that was kind of a theme with me

Brahma is #28 on the list of bikes I have ridden over the 37 years of riding. The bike I had the longest was a 1978 Honda CR500; had it for 12 years. When I bought it, it was plumb wore out. The suspension was wasted, it had a hole on the top of the tank, (best place for a hole if you are going to have one), it was hard to start and took 15 minutes to warm up. But once it warmed up, hold the heck on. The only thing I ever changed on it from the time I bought it was oil, spark plug and about 40 brake and clutch levers. I absolutely loved dogging that bike out. I eventually sold it as it took a full week to recover after riding it for half a day. To say I ever rode it moderately would be a flat out understatement!

The picture isn't mine but one like it; only mine looked absolutely horrible...

I've had quite a few motors over the years... Indian mini bikes, Hodaka's, Suzuki Fat Cats, Yamaha Virago 750, Yamaha YZ250 w/ long rod kit that I used to race, and the list goes on to now with the Rocket.

The most fun bike I have ever owned was also the most dangerous. Honda CR500R. I used to race hairscrambles with this b!tch and it tried to kill me every time... So much fun

I didn’t even read this before posting mine... such a riot of a bike

awesome machine!
