Yamaha rider - considering a new Rocket III - would like advice

Yes! Do it!! I went from a 1977 xs750 to this bike...very little learning curve..(handles awesome at low speed, and low center of gravity) ...and if your doing it as a daily rider you will not be dissapointed!

Not funny! I **** near choked to death on a grape once... Just sayin

Always find the tangents these post take entertaining , unbelievable at times .. first time in my time here it's been fruit focused .. just saying.

We need a blackboard like Bart Simpson has to do his lines on .. to log all the tangents ..hahaha

The Rocket handles better than you would expect, for a big pig of a bike.

But that doesn't make it NOT a big pig of a bike.

If I could only have one bike and it was my sole transportation, it wouldn't be a Rocket.

It would be a shaft driven ADV bike.

But everyone has their own priorities and everything is a compromise.

Wheres the dislike button

I dont like this one even less , i do not ride a 340kg sow to work and back..............

Sometimes what you like can be a deciding factor in what you Drive or ride ,the rocket suits my needs and have never been into "chook Chaser" types of bikes and have always had the big road bikes, so cannot comment on the semi off road breed. I don't ride on many gravel roads,(none) but have done thousands of Klms in off road 4WD vehicles in the State forests around here and have rescued quite a few bike riders who have come a gutzer on the dirt, Tenere's and all

The guy said his "one bike is his only transportation". So you recommend that he gets a Rocket, instead of a really versatile bike & buy a 4wd in addition??
