Ricochet, I feel for you, I know how it is. My wife and I had the same problem when we lived in wyoming so last year we sold the house and moved to Florida.

I just put new shocks, fork springs, steering head bearing and Corbin seat on so I sure hope I get at least one more ride in. That said, if the salt hits the road, she's getting parked.

I just heard, on the radio this morning, that this winter is supposed to be worse than last. Another ice storm we do not need. That said, I was one of the lucky ones as our power was only out for a day.

Winter sucks but at least we don't have to live in Australia. Sorry guys but you post pictures of the sun shining and that's what you get

I'm hoping just get some cheap cold weather gear and ride on the good days on the weekend (my lady doesn't have a licence so I can't use it to commute). Of course given our mild summer there's a lot of people around here expecting a cold winter. However given that it's Denver I could spend a day reading chicken bones and be about as accurate as any meteorologist.

Seriously brother you have to go and ruin a guys day by saying this winter will be worse then last? Your kidding me,. Last winter we had the most consecutive days of -30 or more and of course that god forsaken ice storm that killed us... a week with out power. It was the worst. I actually got physically ill from the stress of dealing with all of that. I am already worried.

I saw snow once, had to ride about 200klm out of my way up through Bright to see it from a lookout on top of the range there was a snow cap on Mt Boegong about 20klm away.
