I'm way behind you guys. Took a ride on the first Rocket III in Boise in 2004. Fell in love. But waited to buy one for my 50th B-Day in 2007. Picked it up August 3 new at Triumph in Reno, NV. with 0.03 miles on it. It was a miss-shipped 2006 in a 2007 create. Got $5,000 off the MSRP. So next Saturday it will have lived in my garage for 17 years. I'm planning on keeping it forever, so it will become my children's burden. And during this time I have owned 2 other Rocket III. A 2006 Tourer which I played with for a short time and sold and a 2005 basket case I still have in the shed. One day it will get re-assembled and sold.
67 truck driver, get on it! Quit driving so much😬. Stud!

How long have you been riding a rocket?
In my case, i saw the picture of the Rocket in 2003 before it came out, i told the wife; If they make it, i will buy it.
in 2004 around july, the first one came to Tulsa, i bought it, they sold it to me under one condition, that i was going to leave it at the dealership for 2 weeks for advertisement purposes until the next one arrived.
I agreed inder the condition that no one was going to sit on it, they could only look at it.
Kept it for 11 years. At the same time, had another Rocket that i bought from @xhdskip, than i bought a Rocket X that i sold to @Sparky59 , while i had the X, i bought the 240 Silverback from my friend Bud, which is my weapon of choice for long rides.
Soooo, a Rocket has been in my garage since 2004, which is right at 20 years this month!!
The Rocket is responsible for me meeting a bunch of great guys and girls from allover the country and other parts of the world that i now call my extended family, to the point that i plan my vacation time around the RAAs.
Here is a pic from the years past with my better half posing on it, i call it, Beauty and the beast.

Billy Boy,
Rocket 3's were not around when I was 50. I was still messing with sport bikes!

In 2004 I was ready for a cruiser so my ageing body could ride more miles.
The Kaw V2K was bike of the year, so off I went on an 8 year, 82,000 mile adventure filled with as many bike issues as fun times.
Big mistake not choosing the second place motor! My troubles ended in 2012 with Kong, my first Rocket III Roadster. Kong has over 80K miles and still sits in my garage; now as brother to YurMama, my Lush kissed second R3R. First time in all my years riding motor I have bought the same bike twice!

I got my first rocket in 06 kept that till 08 when I totalled it
Got a 08 touring and rode that till 2012 when I traded it for a ,12 victory crossroads then in 2016 I got another rocket which belonged to 64 herold aka Anthony some of y'all will remember him
