I said I take offence, not that I was offended. There's a difference. If you said I was stupid for buying a GT rather than waiting for an imaginary bike to magically appear out of sheer will, then I would be offended. Taking offence would suggest that you are inferring that the GT is NOT a touring bike. To which I sought to clarify.
Seems I struck a chord by inferring that you want a bagger for the barcalounger seat for you and the Mrs. by resorting to name calling. If I offended you, then please grow a pair. Thanks.
HA! HA! HA!
You stated, "I said I take offence, not that I was offended."
Ya must have a different language (and spelling) than we speak here in the US.
FYI - To take offense IS to be offended!
I’m on the verge of pulling the trigger on a GT. Much more comfortable riding position over the R for my 6’6” frame. I do like the red on the R the best though.
We have had two custom painted bikes but one was done by the dealer before I purchased it. It costed 3K to paint an Indian Chieftain and I thought it was worth it. Lost every penny on that when we sold it.
If a guy wanted something special you could buy a black one and add some striping for few dollars. A full paint job could be more like a grand or two for exotic work. We’re talking toys here so it is all discretionary dollars.
