What do I do ?????

Well then with the CES you can buy the header and put what can you want on it whether its a megaphone, round, oval or any other shape Myself I like the sound of a Megaphone pipe even if you bought one with a baffle in it like you can get from Burns Stainless. Or Freedom makes some slip-on's the 4.5 inch megaphone, and a couple others I am sure you can find something that make your a original. Maybe even a carbon fiber can that will look great on her since she is already Phantom Black ( my assumption instead of flat primer black)

That's sorta where I'm at. I'm talking to CES to see if they will sell me their black ceramic coated 2 1/4" performance headers and fabricate the mounting bracket (similar to what they do with their slash cut muffler) for a Vance and Hines black ceramic coated slip on - can't remember the V&H slip on pipe model name.

Waiting to hear back from CES.

Thanks ...

I think something totally different in the can might look good like the Beowolf can of a Sprint GT might be large enough and sound kind of throaty like the can below which is selling used for 150.00 plus shipping see below

I was going to buy it to experiment with on my Sprint ST as I have what I like on my Rocket

If it's just sound you want you don't need to change out the header - yet. Staintune do nice pipes that will fit up to the stock header and retain the stock look (up to a point) and there's plenty of other slip-on options such as the one Warp posted. I've also heard these ones and they sounded pretty good. @Malcy has them or rather he had them before he got his CES (not sure exactly what he has now). With headers, basically the 3 you mention run back, down or forward, so aesthetically they're quite different. With the right set up and tune, they're all good. I have the CES and the only thing I'd note is there isn't any room for a blower ;) otherwise they're the pick as far as I'm concerned.

Thank you for the great input. I shouldn't have downplayed the extra performance so much - as more power is great and desired. How much louder is your CES setup than stock or TORS? I'm not interested in adding a blower.

Are you using the mufflers from CES? If so, which ones?

Thanks Pat

Just saw in your avatar that you have a Foran muffler ...

I have a set of Foran cans (Aussie legend) and as my bike originally had 3 pipes, when I had TORs they were the 3 pipe variety. From what others have said, the 2 pipe TORs are much quieter than the 3 pipe set up, so I can't really comment. @bruce aussie is perhaps best placed to tell you about the CES cans.

Thanks for your reply and all the info. Leaning towards CES headers - just need to figure if I want their full system with slash cut exhaust or add V&H slip on to their exhaust. Or what.

Thanks all.

Thank. Nice looking setup and bike.

I have always thought them Staintune pipes for the Roadster look much better the the OEM water heaters I must admit I have never heard them though. Like I said it really matter how much of a power gain you want .
