Well, the day started out $hitty

Does anybody know of a reputable place in the states that undercuts gears ?
I would think Michigan would be loaded with really good machine shops that would be able to do it?

When I was younger I would have relished the excuse to tear the engine apart but I have so many other interests now I just don't have the enthusiasm for it?

Don't forget to take lots of pictures as she comes apart! We all want pictures and it's way more fun when someone else is doing the dirty work.

This is the single most worrisome issue I find with the rocket. I too am considering trading in on an early Valkyrie just for the peace of mind although it would be more like riding a sewing machine.:(

I would like a place that does it regularly and understands the goal.

Took me 5 hours to balance my throttle bodies! Good job Fred!

[Furrowed brow] While I understand that it cost four or five times -- not even counting the labor -- to assemble a new vehicle from the separate purchased parts -- I don't see how a set of gears could be anywhere near the cost of the vehicle, even well used -- unless I'm missing what you are saying.
