US Triumph Dealers who will ship to Australia

Hey guys,

I have been wanting a Triumph for awhile now (and reading this forum dreaming of it) and am in the position to buy one finally.. However, since the Australia dollar is huge right now (and the price of Rockets is huge too compared to the US etc) anyone know of some US dealers who'd ship over to Australia?

A used Rocket 3 here in Australia costs about 5-6000 US dollars more than a new 2011 Roadster from the US at the moment and even though i'd be willing to pay it just to get my dirty little hands on this beautiful bike - i can't help but think about getting a new one from US with all the goodies for less than one with 60000kms and no accessories from here!.

Obviously, it would have to be a Official Triumph dealer - so i won't get ripped... but any suggestions would be awesome.

You might want to just go through the Triumph USA website and start making calls. I doubt that topic came up much while anyone here was making their purchase. I'm sure there must be one around somewhere that will do it for the right price (this is America).

Contact Baxter Cycles in Marne, Iowa. They regularly ship vintage bikes all over the world. I would check to make sure that you won't have any problems licensing or titling a new US bike. There maybe some sort of tariffs imposed by your country and that could be the reason they are more expensive. So they may not allow you to import the bike unless you pay up. Plus you want to make sure you can get warranty coverage at your local dealer.

Cheers guys, i'll definately check Baxters out. The price difference is just because the Aus $$ has gone up so much (or the US dollar down?) and Australia products prices haven't been brought down to match it. So we just pay like double what everyone else pays heh.

Roadsters sell used over here for $22000 upwards, with no accessories.
