Wouldn't it be easier to take the windscreen out of your car
R3badboy, you are right on the money. I do not see the fixation some have with windscreens, fairings etc. It is a bike and you get wind in your face. Last weeekend I was out for a ride and was sitting on 160 to 200kph with no dramas and having a ball
A touring bike just needs bags, comfy seat, highway pegs, you can keeep all the bling and techno, GPS, music, etc.
Well did chuckle a bit at that response. I guess it depends on what you think a tourer is. I have several bikes and choose the tool for the job. Some days I like comfy and music other days it’s the wind and Rocket speed . It might just be that there is no one completely perfect bike. I have a Roadmaster and two Rockets( not bragging just stating) and for five day touring trips the Rockets just don’t have enough carrying capacity or features to do the job for me. When I do need to drive iouring rain or pull the tractor I will take the Ram 2500 truck.
Fellow motorcycle brother I don’t expect you to be like me so enjoy the road.

I’ve tried the Rocket with a half helmet. If you need the wind in your face try that, it’ll give you plenty. Some days I want more wind and other I want less.

I reckon you have it sussed!...Everyone has their personal preferences re wind in the face etc...having two different style bikes that can do either is a good way to go. Personally i have been riding bikes for probably 60 years now and have always enjoyed the wind on my face. I do wear a full face helmet but more often than not the visor is up but if there are bugs and stuff annoying me down it goes.

I'm using my Roadster as a tourer, and as a fun bike. It does have a lot of carrying capacity. (The sky is the limit)
I never really liked the R3 Tourers, or Goldwings or other bikes that is only for touring. When I'm on the road (on a bike ) I don't need to listen to music. I can do that when I am at home.

Two Rockets and a travelling addition is perfect - my Roadmaster is in fact an XT 1200 Super Tenere. Here in our Country we have far to many curves for an RM.
But I always envy the guy who can live with just one Motorcycle...
