TuneECU .... free tuning software

I started playing with it a little, of course I don't have the cable yet ... I downloaded one of the tunes just to see it on the spreadsheet. I can't seem to get it there ... I did try to download the software update that Pig9r suggested but it seems I already have some version of it that will not allow replacement. Since I'm just a self tinker-er computer wise, I'm missing something ... just can't put my finger on it. The tunes are irevelent anyway, since I already have the PCIII dyno tune custom done, but it would be nice to "tweek" a couple things. I'll wait till I have the cable, download whats in the bike and see whats up,... then ... I'll have some questions. **** cool program so far from what I've been looking at ... Nice Job!

Will Alain be able to produce these tunes in future?
Who will support us if the ECU gets corrupted during download?
Has any one successfully connected and dowloaded a tune with TuneEcu yet?

It looks as if Alain reverse engineerd TuneBoy and changed the skins?
I guess Wayne at TuneBoy will stop working on TuneBoy if there is no revenue stream.
Could be a disaster

Has anyone noticed if TuneECU allows you to interface with a dynojet dyno and tuning link software?

Tuning the Rocket is still a pain because you have to turn the engine off to download modifications into the ECU.

I saw a post that Tuneboy Wayne is working on using Tuneboy to tune on the fly. This would make it a lot easier for dyno tuners to work with.

I went and downloaded all the links to my external drive.
It still don't make alot of sence to a NON computer geek like me.
Would a person still need a tuneboy to get this to work,
or is this a complete replacment.
Is there anyway to make all of this user friendly
for us non geeks.
example:
you have K&N's
you have TORS
you have the catbypass
you have eliminated the O2 sensor
push this button to download the optimal tune for your bike.....
Pig9R,
this should be a sticky .....
along with all available links and future links.
This is worthy of sticky status i believe, and I don't even understand it.

A complete tuning solution.

Download the software, unzip it.
Download key, unzip it into the same folder.
Order cable.

Find appropriate tune (pickings are slim at this time, but several are working on converting TuneEdit files).

Load tune to bike.

Ride on.

That "sounds" fairly easy Wayne.
Guess all I need then is a cable and wait on a tune then huh?
Thanks for doing this by the way.
Alot of work, and I'm sure expense too.
For what?
Just a simple thank you or two from us.
Thats top notch bro, thanks again,
skip

I totally agree ... what a find. I'm already feelin' guilty for all the questions I'll be asking once the cable shows up and I plug it into the bike. Where can I send that bottle of scotch?
