Tune ECU Com Problem

just remind me what changes you have or going to make I know I sent you one tune before but that if you are running triple K&N's, cat delete and TOR's with a higher rev limit of 7500 I also have the same tune with a std rev limit if you prefer. I also have a nice tune that Ian (IDK) sent me for triples, cat delete and std mufflers, let me know and I will look what I have got. If you do give up on the Tune ECU all is not lost because the PCV with Auto Tune will give you a much running bike and I could always send you a PDF of the AFR table to put in to get you started;)

Ok mate thanks..
The latest is I got another cable.. RIck was kind enough to even deliver it to my door today:D

I have just connected the Ricks cable it worked perfectly..which goes to show cheap Ebay Cables don't work, not even after 6 hours of brain racking:(

I ahve saved my original tune (twice) and used a TuneECU map which is pretty standard..Aftermarket mufflers with Cat.

I just tried it and happy to say the bike still runs but there was no improvment over the original tune + Gipro .

Sooo I have the PCv it arrived today... Cat bypass is ordered from ncyyam.com so I have started what I said I wouldn't do... See I told you Richard it would eat away at me :D

So Hans what do you recommend I will fit the PCv on Saturday but what tune should I load up first?
Cat is in place TORs are fitted no tripples yet ;)

load the Tors tune I sent you!! it will be a bit rich (but the PCV with auto tune will sort it out) without the Tripples but once you remove the secondaries and fit tripples you better Hang On! seriously though it will be ok as long as you are gentle on the throttle.
The tune that comes loaded in the PCV is a good comprimise tune that will get you up and running I have just printed up a copy of the AFR tables from the TuneECU TOR's tune I sent you and in the next couple of days will transpose them into the PCV Map and send it to you if you are interested.
I think I even have Richard interested in the Tors Tune and I get the feeling there will be a Dobec up for sale to ....something tells me I will be fitting or guiding the fitting of another PCV soon;)
Oh and order your filters thru Flipmiester he supports the forum, his prices are good and he is the only one that seems to stock the the two little filters you also need

No not Saturday please remember I have double shift and need to get as much sleep as possible but happy to chat Sunday
Yeah tune that is in the PCV is not radical but will make run smooth I will send you my more radical version when I have had a chance to PLAY but use the TOR's TuneECU tune I sent you to set up your ECU for a better base tune till then

I think you should get yourself the AutoTune, you already should have ideal AFR set tablesfrom your dyno tune but if you change altitude the Auto Tune will readjust for the change in conditions, you also never need to go near dyno again unless you want to see ponys, I know your guy said not to bother but that probally because it would put him out of a job should you decide to make any other exhaust or mechanical changes as the Auto Tune will adapt your tune it doesn't care what you do it just follows the AFR tables you have set to give economy and power where you want it!!:D

I hear what your saying mate but i really dont need it as i dont intend to change anything else she is exactly the way i want her now and she is running perfectly
even when i take her up mt tambo or glorious ect she doesnt miss a beat
i really dont think its needed unless u intend to make more changes and i notice no negetive affects when i ride the mtns or ranges so ill just save myself the money for fuel i think ;)
If i ever change anything else i will get one but i dont see that happening .
If anything i will be buying a second bike rather than changing this one i think she is done now:cool:

The cables I have found on ebay say they are not compatible with win 7 64bit systems.....that is what I have. Which cable should Iget. It seems that I have the program properly installd. I can see it but that is about it. :)

Sorry jetdok I just re read ya post I think the cable would be fine its the driver software that you would need for 64bit sys.

TuneECU should have the driver or just plug the cable into your PC and let windows 7 find the driver that suits.

Win 7 driver worked fine for me..just the **** cable that was faulty..
Hope this helps:)

Fair enought but mines only just starting to get to where I want it to be .....,

If I'm ever in a position where I can own a second rocket one will be off its guts and the other my daily ride but for now although my rocket will always be my favorite I have aspirations for a couple more motorcycles . Probably a street triple as a commuter and then something old school that I can restore to it's former glory .

I agree with this.. but I have a question about Factory Ign retarded ..

What is the proceedure for clearing the retardm setting /ECU ?
Can it be done by ourselves or is it a dealer thing ?
