Tune ECU Com Problem

Does the red led on the plug come on and stay on constantly, reason I ask is there was a bit of crap on the bikes plug when I first got my cable and since then I follow this sequence pull fuse on lights connect cable to bike and check the light is on then I connect to Computor which is already on and has TuneECU up and running then turn on ignition get Red flashing which changes to orange and then green. Occasionly the message has come on and I just disconnect and reconnect switch ignition off and back on. I think sometime there might be a bit of dust that gets rapped in the electrical grease

Thanks Hans I have spent a lot of time reinstalling cable drivers trying different ones. Yes the red light stays on and it tries to connect then goes to error meesage

There seems to be 2 on the TuneEcu Driver D/LOADS 1 certfied and 1 not .. I have tryed both also the microsoft windows 7 usb driver.. downloaded then uninstalled all the drivers and started again.. its a real headache when these things don't work on the first installation.
Which Driver is correct for Win 7 any idea?

Anyway I was just checking the bike plug and I may have to reset the contacts 1 looks like it maybe a loose fit so I will try to extract the connector from the plug without damaging it thats if it will unlock from the plug and slide out.

Did you get your PCv yet?

I don't have windows 7 on the 10 inch laptop I use only XP, I hope you get it sorted I think Mitch said he was using win 7.
According to the tracking it arrived at Aust Post Office 29/12/2011 so it should be delivered any day

You have the ignition on, but do you have the toggle in the run position? just checking.....

Works great on Win 7 for me, so the OS isn't the prob. I think you're on the right track with either the cable or driver conflicts. Once you get it sorted you'll love what TuneECU can do...

Thanks maybe if you use win 7 you could give me a clue as to which driver is compatable, I just spent another 3 hours resurecting an old laptop with XP loaded everything up followed the instructions and guess what exactly the same error.

Both win 7 and XP say the usb and drivers are working, TuneECU software loads up and tries to connect. When I connect the OBDII socket to the ECU plug the lights run across to static red .

As for loving it at the moment its just a peice of crap and the there is no way I can test the cable or know which driver to install.

Conclusion .. Just run with the GiPro and the Tors as is, I give up

The cables I have found on ebay say they are not compatible with win 7 64bit systems.....that is what I have. Which cable should Iget. It seems that I have the program properly installd. I can see it but that is about it. :)
